New Round 7, Day 9: Closing day at the county fair

It's done! Today was the last day of the fair, and all went well. I had people there to demonstrate spinning (both on wheels and spindles today), weaving, and knitting, and to talk to people, hand out information, and maybe even recruit a few for local knitting and quilting groups. Three of my volunteers stayed for closing, where at 6:00 sharp we had to do crowd control as people descended on the exhibit areas to pick up their items. I made up a checkout sheet for people to sign so everyone knew that the right items were going home with the right people. It all went smoothly, and within about 30 minutes, everything in our department had been picked up. We emptied the cabinets, put all the drapes back, and left the tables, chairs, racks, and cabinets for the heavy-lifting crews to pick up and put away. I posted thanks-yous on Facebook and on our group on Ravelry. Hoping for even more entries, volunteers, and demonstrations next year. We're even plotting a Sheep to Shawl demonstration for next year if we can get the sheep, the shearer, enough spinners, and a weaver.
