29-Day Giving Challenge

I will be doing a project starting tomorrow until Nov 28 (I have to return it by Nov 29, so can't work on it that day), so it's a 29 day thing - worked out nicely! Well, I did research today but I am choosing not to count that since that makes 30 days. :)

The local Senior Center does this project yearly, but those of us who are age-impaired are allowed to participate as well. This is what their site says:

Dress-A-Doll Program

Would you like to make a child smile this holiday season?
The Dress-A-Doll Program is a tradition at the Stuhr Center. St. Matthew Lutheran Church provides the dolls. Each doll is checked out at the front desk & dressed by anyone willing to sew or buy a cute doll outfit.

Once the dolls are dressed, they are returned to the center for judging & displayed in our display case through Nov. 30. St. Matthew Lutheran Church comes back to collect the dressed dolls, and they are then donated during the holiday season to less fortunate children in the surrounding areas.

With my issues, it will probably take me all 29 days to do this, *grin*. So I will be photographing the progress and updating as often as I can. I am going to see if I can opt out of the judging portion, IMO that part should be just for members of the Senior Center.

Here is the doll I got. She is "number 16" aka Toni (named for someone on facebook, long story but it works better than Number 16!). I was too sick to go out today, so my partner decided which doll to bring home.
