"I try to take one day at a time - - but sometimes several days attack me at once."
- Jennifer
It's August 3rd. My last blog was July 27th and so, I will begin again. The giving didn't stop... just the blogging. Today, I gave myself a gift. I finally let go of a wedding ring that was placed on my finger in 1976. After six short months, I was replaced by another woman. I met my current husband in 1980 and we married in 1982. We've been married for 29 years. My first husband's abandonment was a gift I didn't realize at the time. Don't know why I kept that ring for 35 years. Received 120 dollars for it at a cash for gold shop. I'll use that money to buy something special for my current husband.
Went to the CVS and saw a woman sitting on the curb out front. She smiled. I smiled. She told me that she had a headache and asked me if I could get her a drink of water. I suggested getting her some orange juice instead and asked her if she'd like anything to go with it. She told me she would love a Slim Jim but was on SSI and short on money. Went into the CVS and came out with her cold orange juice and two extra long Slim Jims. She was overjoyed, told me her name was Carol, and thanked me profusely. She said 'May you be blessed". I said "May you be blessed as well". We then went about our day.
So I return with a new resolve to keep up with the blogging even if I get attacked by several days.

Hi there, missed you! I admire what you did with the ring, a new beginning fo sure! And what a great thing to do for the lady, I know she will never forget you.

I am glad you could let go of the past and live in the future. I am so happy things have turned out well for you. Maybe a nice romantic meal together to celebrate! I love the gift to the woman. How kind of you and the blessings make it all the better. The circle of giving and receiving at work... I would not worry so much about the blogging~ Maybe copy the calendar or keep a private journal and blog every now and then Aldona~
