I spent the last half of August in bed sick instead of finishing my proposal for my second book. I am frustrated because I start traveling again soon, so progress will be slow-going. The book isn't contracted yet--which means no significant income for 29 Gifts. Two days ago I came unglued over the financial stress I am feeling in my personal and business world. I spent the day worrying before I remembered to pray instead. Immediately after saying some prayers, I received an email from my agent saying 29 Gifts Paperback sales have stayed strong the last two quarters and a royalty check will arrive in October, providing some much-needed operating money for 29 Gifts and a little for me. This will be the first time I can write myself a paycheck in more than two years.

In other personal news, Kevin and I got the little house we were hoping for. We spent the past two weeks moving. Everything we own is now in the new house and Ani and Charlie are really enjoying their new back yard. After this weekend we should have a place for everything and feel like we actually live in the house. Both Kevin and I have rented apartments for the past two decades so we are in heaven right now with our own front porch and walls we don't share with any other people.

 

In SEPTEMBER, 29Gifters are giving focus to Mothering Mother Earth with 29 Easy Ways to Renew, Reuse, Recycle and Help Mother Earth. Get started with some greener giving and please share your own ideas too!

It has been a true blessing for me to finish my third round of giving, and it was so fitting that I received another packet that I ordered from the Gifts Boutique on my last day...yesterday.
