D28? Seriously? Where has this month/round/summer gone?! I woke up to a chilly morning and took yesterday's goodies into the soup kitchen. I went to the vet and bought cat food, which I tried to tell myself was a gift (being able to do so was definitely a gift, and I'm pretty sure my cat appreciates it, too).
The interview/call I had scheduled for this afternoon was postponed till Tuesday, which was fine with me (more time to prepare). I'd been at home most of the day, preparing, so no opportunities had come up. I went to the coffee shop late this afternoon to pick up the day-olds, and while I was there, I bussed a few tables. I often do that and don't count it as a gift, but since nothing else had come up, and it looked like it had been a super-busy day for the staff, I thought, "This will be my gift today."
For good measure, I clicked on the Greater Good sites tonight.
I heard back from the woman whose manuscript I reviewed, and she had a very positive response (whew!). The final part of that will be a phone call to discuss her next steps, either over the weekend or next week.
Hope you all had a great Friday - Cheers!
