29-Day Giving Challenge

Today started off slowly and murkily... and ended with a flourish! During the first part of the day, no opportunities came up, so mid-afternoon, I left a toonie ($2) in a raised flowerbed where someone will find it.

This afternoon, I went to the coffee shop to pick up the leftovers... and walked out with a consulting (story branding) gig. A few weeks ago, I sent a woman several questions designed to help her and her partners create their business vision. As I mentioned then, it was a gift of considerable time and expertise, but I knew they were operating without a budget. Apparently, right before I walked in, they were discussing whether there was a way to have me facilitate a visioning session. They invited me to sit down, and I gave them some guidance... and now we're planning a session. My other gift was to contact a friend and former colleague, to ask if he'd participate in the session.

Then this evening, I had a phone meeting with the woman whose manuscripts I've been editing, about next steps. So that's moving along, too. Hooray!

So now my task is to provide (price) quotes for both these things. I think quoting is one of the most uncomfortable aspects of self-employment, but what an incredible gift to be able to work on TWO quotes!

Hope you all had wonderful Thursdays! Cheers!
