Quick post tonight. This morning, I took goodies to the soup kitchen, then emailed an ex (different from the guy yesterday) who emailed me weeks ago. I've been meaning to respond and finally did so. Both these guys married the next woman they dated, and both moved to other countries. But both have stayed in touch, which is nice, and as I said yesterday, I don't think either relationship would have worked long-term.
Even though the email was a conscious gift, I wasn't sure it was really enough, so tonight, I gave $2 to the food bank when I was at the grocery store. Money definitely feels scarce, so even that felt small amount felt like a good "stretch."
Then, as I was on the bus home, an elderly woman asked me to pull the cord (to signal a stop) for her. A tiny thing I would've done anyway, but it felt like that was the gift of the day.
I had my phone interview today, and it went well. I'm not as smooth on the phone as I am in writing, but still, I did well enough. The guy is going to try me out (though there's no set project yet), and if all goes well, this could be a substantial new client. So that's awesome! I have a lot to learn, though, about the field he specializes in.
That's all for today. Hope you all had good Tuesdays - Cheers!
