29-Day Giving Challenge

This morning, I took muffins and scones to the soup kitchen. Later, on the bus, there was a woman with a year-old girl in a stroller. The baby was adorable, making smiley faces at me. I don't know much about children, but I guess she was just around the age where she's discovered "throwing" :)  First, she tossed her bottle towards me, and (of course) it landed on the floor, so I picked it up and gave it to the mother. Then she pulled off both her socks (I guess I hadn't been fully paying attention, because the last thing I'd seen, she was sort of tugging at one, but then they were both on the floor, too) - so I picked those up and gave them to her mom.

In the afternoon, I left 50 cents on a pay phone, and I continued to help the young barista with her short story for school. So... small gifts, but gifts nonetheless.

I received a lovely card and gift in the mail today that really put a smile on my face. It arrived at a time I was feeling a little disheartened, and it was an awesome boost.

A small payment came through, so I was able to finish paying my September bills (some of which weren't actually due until today). I know I'll eventually be able to catch up - even if I don't yet know how - and for now, I'm happy to have been able to make those payments.

I hope you all had great Fridays, and here's to a wonderful weekend! Cheers!

Your day turned out very well! How wonderful to receive the money in time to pay off those bills! What a blessing that you were on the receiving end for not only the money but a wonderful gift and card, that warms my heart! I hope  you continue to be on the receiving end of great things, you deserve so much. Hugs..xoxo
