This has been a round of small gifts. I recognize the necessity of it, but I also felt like I needed to stretch, to give what I didn't think I could. So I bought a grocery gift card, placed it in an envelope (they have tiny ones for that purpose) and left it at the bottom of a cart in one of the cart-places (is there a name for them?) in the parking lot. On the front, I wrote "To: whoever finds this From: ??"
This afternoon, I wrote another email about volunteering my writing and marketing skills for the soup kitchen (it turns out I needed to contact a different person). Later, I bussed some tables at the coffee shop while I waited to pick up the leftovers.
I'm back in that place of not knowing whether I'm in denial or acceptance, but right now, I feel confident that things will work out, though I don't yet know how - and I'm enjoying the peace while I can.
I hope you all had great Saturdays! Cheers!

You have been a pillar of strength and I know things will pan out.. xoxo
Your gift of the gift card would be awesome to find! That's unique thinking...I hope the peaceful feeling stays..you certainly deserve to feel at peace. Love and hugs to you, Dear Friend..take care..
Finding a gift card in the grocery cart! How exciting would that be--that had to make that person's day! I love it.
Glad you are enjoying some peace today. As far as the "how" of it all working out... I was given a challenge recently on the fact that spiritual principles work even if we don't understand how--and that knowing the principle without understanding the "how" is *not* to be a reason to refuse to live by them. I may not know how it is that soil turns a carrot seed into a carrot... and yet it does, and so we plant our carrot seeds in faith or full expectation that we will get carrots, because the natural process we do not understand will still do its work whether our human 'logical' mind understands "how" or not.
Carry on, dear one! So glad you are here.
