I probably still have some of this but one thing I've noticed recently and it came up twice today. Is when I make mistakes, I own it and apologize. This feels like a gift to me and to the two people I encountered today. I don't rationalize, excuse, shift the blame around, etc. I just acknowledge and apologize. I thanked them today for noticing (something I never would have done in the past, my insecurities or desire to be right all the time would have gotten in the way.)
Is there a quote which would you rather be happy or right? I'd rather be happy.
