Today was my once-every-two-weeks run out to the big box pet food store across town to stock up on kitty and bird supplies. At the register there was, as there often is, the opportunity to donate a dollar or round up the total to support one local animal cause or another. I did the dollar donation, which was gift one.
Then came an overdue Changing of the Cat Boxes, fresh litter all around.
Then off to the newly-formed spinning group, which I'll probably only get to once or twice a month until I have vacation time in the summer. Only our usual meet-up place was closing early, so after an hour we went to the library where there is some social space downstairs. Skeined some qiviut that I had finished spinning and plying but was still on the bobbin, and began on some handpainted wool.
Then as the sun started coming out, I decided to leave early to wrangle at least a few of the weeds that are currently having their way all over my yard and making a jungle of the back. Planted my new honeyberry bushes.
And recalling that there's someone online who was asking for coupons to help some needy families, I sat down and cut usable coupons out of the Sunday paper and put them in an envelope to mail tomorrow, which was gift two.
It's been a full day. I think I need a weekend to rest up from this weekend.
