Round 2 Day 17- Smiles!
So today, instead of spinning I decided to go for a run along the river here in Philly. It's a beautiful path and it always makes me feel good to be outside enjoying this lovely weather. As I was running I tried to smile at as many folks as I could. Some responded with a smile and a hello. It felt great to just acknowledge another person, which I think is something that we seem to be losing in the age of I-phones,texting, etc. I know that I can be guilty of it many times in my life too. Also, I have to say that those people that did say hello kept me going on a long run that ended up being about 6 miles. A new personal best for me (although now I am feeling it, in my legs) It felt good to get a sympathetic smile from other more experienced runners along the trail!
