Sorry for dropping the ball in my blog posts. However, I KNOW that I have been giving gifts. Like I stated, the gift-giving gets easier and easier as time goes on. It's just being conscious about it that is difficult.
Yesterday was a gig with my other band, KAVUS. I really thought that it wasn't very good at all. However, Beth Ann, my friends, the host and the other musical guests all thought otherwise. As Aly Jados stated (American Idol finalist/other weekly musical guest,)
"The audience doesn't know when you bring your 'A' game or not. We didn't notice until you told me. You HAVE it. You were dead on. Your rhythm is tight. You've got it, man. Just know that." Message received. My gift for that night was giving Nik gas money to get back to his home in the West Suburbs - especially since he was so kind to stay with Beth Ann and me to help look for her lost phone. Turns out that she left it in the cab on the way back to our place from the hotel. So, all is well. That was Day 27.
Day 28: MAJOR housecleaning today. Beth Ann's friend, Starr, came into town from Michigan. She is and will be our houseguest until Sunday morning. She is here to see Beth Ann's production of "Little Red Riding Hood" in just a few hours. Well, that is and was ONE of the motivating factors. The other (without saying it) is to acclimate herself with the city since she is set to be our roommate once Beth Ann "seals the deal" with the condo hunt. So far, still at it.
My gift for today: I have another Army buddy whom I recently got in touch with. The last interaction was 10 days ago (if you include today.) So, I repeated the gift of FREE KAVUS album in his Facebook message. I have been a bit busy and didn't want to lose the momentum of gift giving. I've made it this far. So, I just sent the message a couple of minutes ago.
Also, if you're curious: You may have guessed what I'm about to say since I'm so close to the end of this cycle. I am going for Round 3. :)
