29-Day Giving Challenge

The gift of support

My brother in law Teale Jakubenko is a very talented musician!  In fact, a few years ago he made it to the top four in Australian Idol.  He has been very busy lately creating some great new music.  My husband and I have always been huge supporters of his.  Recently we’ve both played quite an active role in coordinating gigs, helping him set up social media sites and providing lots of encouragement!

On Sunday we got to see him perform at ‘The Great Brisbane Duck Race’ which is Australia’s largest charity duck race, raising funds for cancer research at Queensland’s leading research hospital – The Princess Alexandra Hospital.  I’ve never been before, it was such a fun and vibrant day out raising funds for a great charity. It was quite a sight seeing 50,000 rubber ducks racing along the river (sadly ours didn’t win....the lucky winner got a $25,000 new car, wow!!).

Today’s gift....I am busy editing photos that I took to be uploaded to Teale’s facebook page.  If you’d like to hear some of his music, follow the link below!

Thanks everyone!!  He is very talented, we are all really proud!  I'd love to be able to sing, unfortunately my singing voice could be compared to finger nails down a chalkboard!!   Hope everyone is having a great day x
