Round 3 - Day 13: Footrub and Backrub

Today's Cubs vs. Brewers match was INCREDIBLE!  Not to mention the fact that I was way beyond exhausted due to only 3 hours of sleep beforehand due to the Overnight shift prior, it was WELL worth it!  My buddy, Tom, and I met up for lunch at Taco Bell right near Wrigley Field.  I tried the "Doritos Locos Tacos" Box.  It was...so .... trashy.  Best way to describe it.  I had fun making fun of the name.  I had to say it.  Even the security guard "liked the way" I was "Saying it."  Needless to say, I was loopy.  

Great game.  Even though the Cubs are Last Place in our Division and the Brewers took the series, the Chicago Cubs SHUT OUT the Milwaukee Brewers today 8 to Zero!  All for $9.24 for 2 tickets on eBay!  SO grateful for Tom's lucky streak in finding deals!  We grabbed an early dinner at Cullen's on Southport before parting ways.  Got the Shepard's Pie which was great.  I went home, saw Beth Ann for a few minutes, we planned on seeing a movie after a short nap from me.  However, I slept longer than I anticipated.

After 2 hours, I woke up, ordered pizza with Beth Ann, we watched another episode of "Torchwood."  Upon putting her to bed, she seemed pensive.  I asked if she was ok and if there was anything that I can do. 

"Well, you can open the window.  And...my back's not really hurting but...a backrub would be nice..."

"Sure.  I actually like the fact that it's not really in pain at this time."  I smiled at her.  Was more than happy to offer said gifts of both backrub and footrub.

To close, I got another gift after the Cubs game.  My buddy and colleague, Brian, called.  He asked if we wanted to switch shifts where I work 3 to 11pm and he works my 7am to 3pm.  SO happy, David is.  I definitely owe him MANY times.  Therefore, I jumped all over it.  It is true - the more gifts you give, you do receive back.  It's the cycle...which I am happy to be a part of and to continue within.
