I have many blessings in my life, including another baby boy on the way. I'm feeling a little complacent lately and have been told I'm beginning to sound negative and jaded, especially where work is concerned. I truly love my job and am very happy in my life, so why don't others see this? Maybe getting back to giving will help me refocus.
So today is day 1. I made this decision while driving home from work and, almost on cue, there was a homeless man at the end of the highway exit ramp. I looked over at my purse and noticed that there were 3 dollar bills right on top. I rolled down my window and handed them to him. He noticed either my carseat for boy #1 or my giant belly with boy #2 and asked me if he was "taking food out of the baby's mouth." It was astounding to me that someone who clearly needed the money still thought to ask if I needed it more. I assured him that he wasn't taking anything I couldn't give. I think this was a good start to another productive cycle.
