there's a favorite saying around here - it's not the heat, it's the humidity.  i think both are doing very well at the moment!

yesterday, i helped someone at work who was scoring unfamiliar tests (can get confusing) and refilled the bowl of chocolate on my desk (there for anyone who needs it!).  today, i sent a few dollars to elly rose's fund.  

the pool guy arrived with the new valve for my filter today, but alas it didn't fit.  the equipment was old when i bought the house many years ago ... so i guess it's time to start over.  (ouch!)  he and his wife are wonderful - they brought a portable filtration system which will hopefully resolve some of the cloudiness until they can install the new filter on saturday.  no swimming at the moment, but then 92 degree water is not exactly refreshing!  it's so nice to have people that you can depend upon and who are thoughtful too!  many thanks to them.  :-)

It sounds like you have a great pool guy and his wife! I'm sorry for all the inconvenience, but you always seem to take things in stride! That was so thoughtful to give to Elly Rose's fund, it's wonderful to see the scale sliding up to the goal! Take care and try to keep cool:)
