Third Round 1, Day 15: Hubby's date with the gastroenterologist

It was THAT day today, the day hubs has been prepping for with a liquid diet and all. Hubby finished the second half of the Gallon 'o Doom that one has to drink to empty the insides. Dividing into 20 oz beverage bottles makes it a lot less intimidating. I continued making sure he was doing all right and getting enough liquid, and when it was time, took him off to the hospital for his tests. It was my job to stay there for the time the procedure took and to bring the car around when it was time for him to be discharged. In all it was about two hours. I had my knitting and an audiobook on the iPod so I was well occupied. I talked to the doctor when it was all over and got all the important information (one tiny polyp, which was removed and will be tested). When I got him home, I fixed up his granola with a dollop of yogurt, and after he ate that he was ready for a nap. Later in the evening when he was up again I cooked up a simple dinner and said, "Welcome back to the world of real food." We had fresh peaches from my little tree, the first it's produced. Usually we go out on a Friday night, but of course he was still a little trippy from the anesthesia, so that can wait for tomorrow night.

lol...'Gallon o' Doom'...i'm gonna have to remember that one. it'll make my Hubby smile when his turn comes. and anything that can lighten the mood at a time like that is good, right?  sounds like the procedure went smoothly, hopefully the polyp will prove to be benign. Hugs, Dawn
