29-Day Giving Challenge

i was at work when a man came in to ask about donating some household items from a rent house he had cleaned out. while he was talking to us, he asked if we knew of a young man who might be interested in a job. i asked him what kind of job and he said that he was making a new kind of porch swing and wanted to teach someone how. he also needed a little help with heavy lifting as he has a disabled wife and he is 77 years old and can't do it all by himself. he said he had a trailer on his property that whoever he hired could live in as part of their pay.

so, i took his number and gave it to my son James and told him about it. he called him and they met and talked and to make a long story short, James started working with him today on a trial basis. he is really excited about it. i sure hope it works out for him - that would be a huge gift :o)

That is very kind and generous of the man! I hope it works out and your son is able to learn new skills!

Kudo's to James, and perhaps he can talk to his elder and unveil the mysteries of life with his new elder perhaps..? Good for him. Hope for the best.
