Tomorrow morning I am setting out on my Susan G Komen 3-Day 60 mile walk to raise awareness of breast cancer after raising funds to fight the awful disease. I am walking in memory of my aunt and grandmother. I will also be thinking of many others. I will think of each and every person who supported me in my efforts with this cause and every person who donated (You know who you are). I will even be thinking of people I've never even met who have been affected by cancer (like Lubabat and Dawn's sister Jenny). I will be bonding with my cousin and fellow walker. I will be inspired by the stories I hear relating to the fight against breast cancer. I will be immersed in a sea of pink!
I am excited, but nervous. I just know it's going to be a great experience. I also anticipate extremely sore feet, aching legs, blisters, exhaustion, and who knows what else. I just hope I can make it the whole 60 miles. Wish Me Luck!
We finish up with a closing ceremony on Sunday night and hopefully sometime after that I can let you all know how it went.
P.S. my give for today is for a girl I went to college with. she posted on facebook that she wanted lids from frozen juice concentrate for an activity in her classroom. I just happen to save those darn things because I've used them for activities in daycare too. Yeah, those of us who work with young children are a bit different; you wouldn't believe the things we save! I am mailing a bunch of lids to my friend tonight.
