YAAD- Day 11- Mythical Art & Fried Pickles

ONe of my best friends is Bean. She's my art buddy. We haven't spent time together lately because she's a school teacher and it began in the past month. We share a love of fried pickels at a local hangout. Our gift was to actually get together, spend time... You have to understand there is CRACK in these pickles! Some magic ingredient that makes them SO delicious you HAVE to go back!

 

After pickles we went on an adventourus walk. There was a local bookstore/coffee shop I got a gift card to. We walked there on the way back to her house to check it out. I had $40 to blow... but nothing there really screamed at me. Also I would really have to go out of my way to spend the rest of the card on multiple trips... since it is right around the corner from where she lives... I gave her the card. She was happy about having someplace close that she had an excuse to get her coffee fix from!

 

We walked only a little ways when I exclaimed from seeing these amazing ship models in a gallery!!! We went in and marveled at them! We also got to know a bit the woman in the gallery... she remembered me from doing chalk art out on the sidewalk at one of the First Friday art walks... the ones we looked at took 1500 hours!!! that is 6 months if you worked 8 hours every day!!! I am so happy that Bean was open to my adventure style of walking anywhere! lol

 

We got back to the house and pulled out drawing supplies and did ART! It is one of the things I love about Bean. THe two pieces I did will go into my Year and a day of Mythical Art (YAAD). The gift of spending time with a friend is priceless.
