Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  We had sun and hot temps.....  I so miss the spring and fall.  Lots of things are going on since we talked last week, I'll have to give you another ring when I have more info, don't want to get too amped up only to have things not work out.  Until then.....

OH, don't worry about it, Deb....i know you wish me a  happy day that day. I agree about the birthstone, i have never liked it at all!

I hope your kitty will be more comfortable now.

Black-Eyed Susans always make me think of Nebraska. In addition to my friends and family in Nebraska, I now think of you, too, when I think of Nebraska!

Thank you for your kind words. While I do have a wild rose busy with flowers that look similar, that picture is actually a close-up of a lowly marigold. My yard is really not in terrific shape, but I do have moments of beauty in my corner garden and a few well-established bushes/shrubs. The marigolds are in a wine barrel planter near my front door. Our grass is virtually nonexistent.

I will be headed through your neck of the woods next week. My family is going to spend a few day with my grandfather in Omaha. This is likely the last time we will see him. He has no identified illnesses, but is almost 87 and sounds weaker and weaker every time I speak with him, so it was time to make the trek.

How are you holding up in the heat and drought? I am so saddened by the fires in the north. I have friends from around the Valentine area whose families have lost much of their pasture lands to the fire.

I'm sorry, i should have told you, she passed away a couple of days ago. We are going to attend the Wake at her daughter's. She is at peace.
