I have RA and Fibromyalgia, along with some other illnesses/diseases related to these. It is a demanding effort for me to stand at the stove and cook. However, last night, my oldest daughter asked me if she could invite her fiance, her best friend and her best friend's boyfriend over for dinner. That's 3 extra people added to our family of 5. At first I was reluctant...all I could visualize was the pain I'd be feeling. But...I remembered my committment to this plan and decided to jump in. We had a very nice meal, a little wine and some Scrabble time. It was rewarding in many ways. :)

Thank you so much Cami for giving us the chance to give! I joined about three hours ago and I have just been browsing around the site. I posted a blog post and said I was going to start tomorrow but in fact I started just a few minutes after I pressed publish. I felt the need to give my mom a hug, went in my grandmas bedroom and talked to her for a while and then stayed up later than I normally do to talk to my boyfriend once he got out of work at 12:30am. It feels good to give and I can not wait to send out my "get well" card tomorrow to a lady I have never actually met or talked too... sounds weird huh? but my friend asked me and everyone else to send a card and lift her up and I feel it was placed on my heart to do exactly that!

I gave some time to today to my husband. We are very busy in our lives and it is not always easy to touch base on a daily basis. I made it a point to make him breakfast and spend some quality time with him. I am also taking my 24 year old daughter to church with me today. Making memories with her. I have also been able to get in contact with my cousin who I haven't seen or talked to in over 32 years. Found each other on Facebook! It has been wonderful spending a few minutes in the mornings catching up on his life.

Dear Cami,
I have been an educator for 35 years and I have done this on my own each day I have been paid, just a small random act of kindess, paying for coffee at 7-11, buying a poor person earrings at a consignment shop that I know she couldn't afford ($5.00) and I bought them for her. As a single mom for 20 years I raised a son who does random acts of kindness as well. BTW, he received his MBA at 22, is married (now 27) who remembers Random Acts people did for us when we had difficult times. I have done random acts for many years, but it's just been the last year that I did something each day I was paid. I am so excited to join 29 days and increase my acts. Thank you........Jeanne Williams

Today, I gave some cucumbers and balsamic vinegar to my boyfriend Kris. I also gave the "gift" to others by sharing it via e-mail.

I just joined the website today, but I started my giving yesterday. I helped someone jump start their car on my way to class and most important, I gave forgiveness to my ex-boyfriend.

Coincidence that I found this website today? I don't think so! Today I invited a friend to attend an evening service featuring a speaker who survived the holocaust, and then we supplied a ride to another friend to the same event. It was a gift of deeper understanding and community than we have been privileged to enjoy for a long time.
