Event Description

In the spirit of the 29 Gifts movement, as well as the upcoming holiday, we'd like to encourage to join Gratitude Giving event by sending a card in the month of November to show your gratitude for someone in your life.

These cards can be hand made, or store bought, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you take the time to create a message of thanks to someone in your life. Whether it's a family member, a friend, even a stranger, they'll love receiving an unexpected gift in their postal mail.

Some time this month, show someone how much you appreciate them and all they do! Feel free to share your giving here by telling us about what you've done.

Just stumbled on this and had to jump in! I just addressed a couple of envelopes to send little surprise notes and ATCs to some friends and will be making up some more cards today to send to some others. I love this idea and have often sent out cards just to brighten friends' days and let them know I'm thinking of them and grateful for their friendship! Thanks for starting this as a group activitiy!

I am headed to the post office now to mail my cards and three books (29 gifts of course) to 3 girls in my life very important to me. I added a card and a short note on how grateful I am to have them in my life etc.
I just can't wait till they get them, I'm so excited!

Today I gave a co-worker a "Thank You" card that I made. She's recently been through some scary health issues and had surgery last week. I let her know that I appreciated her, glad she was in my life and wished her a great day. She was so surprised. :)

Thank you for this great idea! Connecting with others is one of the reasons I'm doing this challenge, and this is a lovely way to be in touch.

I have been doing this for 5 years, sending out a daily expression of appreciation.
It is a life-transforming habit.
I am thrilled to be part of such a beautiful community.

This is great! Gratitude is so important, especially when giving because gratitude is an expression of an attitude- its an action word. So by giving away with joy- we paradoxically show our gratitude for what we have!
please share you thoughts on gratitude at my fb gratitude wall :)

My first act of giving is to attend worship. Giving myself and my thanks to God for an hour seems like a great way to start.
